Kensington House hotel

15-16 Prince of Wales Terrace, London W8 5PQ

Our Review

The Kensington House Hotel is housed in a traditional 19th century townhouse, blending original features with contemporary modern style. The guestrooms are elegant and stylish, equipped with a great range of amenities. Due to the style of the building some rooms are a little small, though good standards are consistent in all rooms. A buffet breakfast is served daily in the hotel's Tiger bar, which is a bright airy space with original tall windows. The bar has a relaxed environment, ideal for relaxing with drinks and a light bite to eat.

The Kensington House Hotel is consists of two converted 19th-century town houses with a white stucco façade and a pillared entrance. Situated to the right of the entrance, the compact lobby is pleasingly appointed in a modern style but offers limited seating. The 41 guestrooms vary in size due to the age of the building but boast a streamlined design, complemented by large windows, crisp bed linens and high-quality contemporary furnishings. Different rooms offer views over delightful mews houses, leafy streets and the city’s rooftops. The en suite bathrooms also vary in size and layout and some are equipped with a shower only. Popular with residents and non-residents alike, the stylish Tiger Bar provides an informal ambience in which to enjoy coffee, cocktails, a glass of wine, a light bite or even a three course dinner. The menu draws on a range of influences, offering both traditional and modern dishes.
